TIS CHRISTMAS

The world has music only for those who care to listen. As I walked across town yesterday amid the yuletide preparation, I noticed rush all over! It seems everyone is busy being busy. The world now is plunged into chaos. No one seems to care. Cars are running into each other, sellers are hiking prices, whiles the homeless still sleeps outside. The world has lost its rhythm, there is no melody anymore in the air, only disruptive sounds of bleating animals, chirping birds and bloating horns. Christmas used to better than this. I remember not so long ago that it was something many people actually looked forward to. I’ve kept this memory for years now when a young lady sang the First Noel on Christmas Day during Sunday School;
The First Noel, the Angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
 On a cold winter's night that was so deep.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel Born is the King of Israel!
And by the light of that same star
Three Wise men came from country far
To seek for a King was their intent
And to follow the star wherever it went.
 Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel Born is the King of Israel!
Then let us all with one accord
 Sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made Heaven and earth of nought
And with his blood mankind has bought.
 Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel Born is the King of Israel!
The music might still be playing but I doubt people hear as much as they used to. The world has music but I guess it’s only for those who stop to listen. Enjoy the yuletide!
